Over the 4th of July weekend, I drove up Highway 395 to Inyo National Forest with a good friend of mine. Stopped by Manzanar, which was where the U.S. held over 100,000 Japanese Americans during WWII. We camped for a night in Inyo after hiking about four and half miles into the mountains, gaining some 1,600ft then turned around and headed back to camp.
